Lectures:

The Roots of American Homestead
The story of Ellen's journey from life as a creative child to becoming a quilt designer, author and business owner.  Also includes a trunk show of Ellen's latest book.


Wool Gathering
Everything you ever wanted to know about Wool Applique but didn't even know to ask.  Includes how to recycle wool clothing for use in your applique, the difference between wool felt and felted wool, transferring patterns, to fuse or not to fuse, best threads and examples of using various colors and textiles in the same pattern.


Classes:

Ellen is available to teach classes for projects from any of her patterns or books ~ the most popular are:

Ornament/Pincushion Class:
Students can chose from one of thirteen patterns and a choice of 3 different colorways of wool felt.  Just bring your stitching basket with scissors, needles, fiberfill and floss or thread. (4 hour class)


Pedestal Pincushion Class:
Learn to make a pedestal pincushion from our kits.  Choose between the Happy Day Pinkeep or Cheshire Pinkeep.  Just bring your stitching basket with scissors, needles, fiberfill and floss or thread.  (4 hour class)


​All Stars Class:
Make our popular wallhanging quilt, All Stars!  You will make one of American Homestead's most popular patterns ~ includes how to make yo-yo's and prairie points.  (6 hour class)



Guest Appearances:

Meet the Designer Day:
Ellen will join you for the day and meet your guests or customers and conduct demos, product trunk shows &  give helpful tips and hints throughout the day, includes book signing.  For Quilt Shops and One Stop Shop Hops. (5 hours)
